Key RSL players aren't traveling to Panama

Real Salt Lake departed Salt Lake City International Airport this morning en route to Panama for its CONCACAF Champions League match with Arabe Unido on Wednesday. A victory would all but assure the club’s advancement out of group play.

RSL will have to get the job done without several key players. Nat Borchers, Chris Wingert, Andy Williams, Javier Morales and Paulo Junior are not traveling with the team. Morales and Paulo Junior are injured, whereas the other three were coaches decisions to give them much-needed rest.

Coach Jason Kreis had already decided not to take Williams to Panama before the fire near Herriman broke out Sunday afternoon. Williams lives in Herriman and was forced to vacate his home at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
