Video of President Obama honoring Real Salt Lake

Real Salt Lake was honored by President Barack Obama at a ceremony in the East Room of the White House on Friday. I was on hand to cover the event for the Deseret News, and though I’m by no means a professional photographer, I used my Sony hand held camera to capture the complete video of the event.

Highlights include the following:

Obama trying to highlight Robbie Findley only to be reminded he’s already in South Africa preparing for the World Cup

Obama pretending to drop the MLS Cup trophy as he picked it up along with co-owner Dave Checketts.

At the very end, just before Obama leaves the room, RSL equipment manager Kevin “K-Dawg” Harter can be seen asking Obama for an autograph, which he gets.
