Week 12 picks

Just like Real Salt Lake, 11 weeks into the MLS season it’s pretty obvious that I am not a very good prognosticator. I’m hoping that a new month will mean better results in the weeks ahead.

L.A. Galaxy at Toronto FC
I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that L.A.’s ridiculous stretch of what seems like 29 ties in a row comes to an end today. Toronto should be able to use its home field advantage to upend the Donovan-less Galaxy. Toronto 2-0.

Columbus at Kansas City
Both teams are coming off respectable ties on the West Coast, and both are playing pretty well. This one is too close to call, which therefore has tie written all over it. Draw 1-1.

Colorado at Real Salt Lake
With a brutal May in the rear view mirror, RSL is hoping to get back on track in June. Both teams are missing two of their best players, which should make for an interesting match-up. David Archuleta is my x-factor though. I’m sure RSL’s players won’t want to let him down. RSL 2-1.

Seattle at Chivas USA
Seattle’s run of five straight draws comes to an end tonight as Chivas USA bounces back and reminds everyone why it is still the front runner in the West. Chivas 1-0.

San Jose at FC Dallas
Dallas is a suddenly a pretty respectable team with a win at Chicago last weekend, which was preceded by a pair of draws. The Hoops should be able to run their unbeaten streak to four against San Jose. Dallas 3-1.

New York at New England
The Red Bulls are simply awful right now, and there’s no end in sight. Most of their matches over the next two months are on the road where they are winless and goalless this year. That’s great news for the Revolution this Sunday. New England 2-0.

Week 2 record: 0-7
Week 3 record: 4-4
Week 4 record: 1-6
Week 5 record: 3-3
Week 6 record: 5-2
Week 7 record: 2-5
Week 8 record: 2-7
Week 9 record: 2-5
Week 10 record: 5-2
Week 11 record: 2-5

Season Record: 26-46

Note: With three options in soccer picks, 33% would be considered average.
