RSL coping with bad weather

Mother nature isn’t making things easy for Real Salt Lake leading up to the second leg of its playoff series at Chivas USA this weekend. Rain forced the team to move Tuesday’s practice from Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy to Xango Field in Lehi, a practice that was cut short after just an hour. Today, snow forced RSL indoors to the Spence Eccles Fieldhouse at the University of Utah.

Coach Jason Kreis said it’s been inconvenient, but he said the practices both days have been very good and the players put in 100 percent each day. The team will train one last time in Utah on Thursday before departing for California Friday morning and then training down there on Friday afternoon.

It’s also worth noting that Ian Joy didn’t train much today because of muscle tightness in his groin, and he’s likely questionable for the weekend.
