MLS continues to take a back seat to Euro 2008, but there are several intriguing league games on tap this weekend, including Real Salt Lake’s second visit to the Chivas USA. Do you think coach Jason Kreis’ team has a chance for its first breakthrough at the Home Depot Center against the Goats tonight?
Colorado (0) at Toronto FC (1) — Toronto has been unbeatable at home, and there’s no reason to expect the Rapids to end the streak north of the border.
New York (1) at D.C. United (3) – After some early season struggles, D.C. United is starting to hit its stride a bit, and it’s perfect timing with the nemesis Red Bulls coming to town.
Columbus (1) at Kansas City (2) — The Crew will finally score a goal after four straight games without one, but they’ll still lose as the Wizards rejoice the end of their six-game road trip.
L.A. Galaxy (2) at San Jose (1) — The Earthquakes pulled off a major upset on the road last week, but the Galaxy will bring them back to expansion reality this weekend.
Real Salt Lake (0) at Chivas USA (2) — The Goats always have RSL’s number at the Home Depot Center, and that trend will likely continue tonight.
MLS Sunday Predictions
Chicago (1) at FC Dallas (2) — Chicago’s hot start seems to be over, and the home side should be able to pick up three valuable points this weekend despite its recent struggles since firing Steve Morrow.
Record to date: Correct 29, Incorrect 36.
Note: Draws in overall record, therefore picking 33 percent of the games correct would be considered average.
