MLS weekend predictions

Expect Jason Kreis to keep things relatively straightforward for tonight’s match with San Jose. With the success RSL has had at home, it’s doubtful Kreis will rock the boat too much with his line-up.

Therefore expect the usual cast of characters with just a few minor wrinkles that should include Tony Beltran.

With that said, if RSL loses to San Jose, I would expect major changes to the starting line-up the following week against Kansas City.

Saturday Predictions

L.A. Galaxy (2) at Toronto (2) — Toronto’s games are usually low-scoring, whereas L.A.’s are usually high-scoring. The Galaxy should be able to impose their will more as these teams share the points.
New York (1) at Houston (2) — Last-minute goal against FC Dallas last week might be what the Dynamo needed to kick-start the rest of the 2008 season.
San Jose (0) at Real Salt Lake (2) — There’s absolutely no reason RSL should lose to an expansion team at home.
Columbus (3) at Chivas USA (1) — The Crew should be able to bounce back against a Crew defense that likes to give up goals.

MLS Sunday Predictions

Dallas (1) at Colorado (2) — Which Dallas player will be red-carded in this match after three straight games with a red card?

Record to date: Correct 24, Incorrect 31.
Note: Draws in overall record, therefore picking 33 percent of the games correct would be considered average.
