Fans expectations for 2008

Throughout the offseason and preseason, Real Salt Lake’s general managers, coaches and players have all shied away from making predictions about the 2008 season. Perhaps it’s justified after three years of predictions gone bad.
Based on the many new faces, and the mild success in scrimmages this preseason, what do fans think about the upcoming season which kicks off March 29?
Last year D.C. United finished with the best record in MLS at 16-7-7 (55 points), with Toronto checking in with the worst record at 6-17-7 (25 points). Chicago (10-10-10) and Kansas City (11-12-7) earned the last two playoff spots with 40 points each.
Does RSL have what it takes to reach the 40 points plateau in 2008, and will it be enough to earn the first playoff spot in franchise history?
