Rumor mill, both true and false

SUNRISE, Fla. ‘ Regarding the reports of Real Salt Lake’s pursuit of Brazilian 6-foot-4 forward Reinaldo, general manager Garth Lagerwey said it’s pretty simple really ‘ impressive in and of itself considering things are rarely simple in MLS.
“Colorado has the first claim on the player, so it is what it is. Are we interested? Sure, but he isn’t our player,” he said.
Basically, the Colorado Rapids have already filed a discovering within the league for Reinaldo, so if does indeed sign with MLS the Rapids have first crack at him.

On a different note, virtually every time I see Lagerwey around the training field and the team’s hotel, he appears to be talking on his cell phone or sending emails from his cell phone. It might pay off on Tuesday. Lagerwey hinted that RSL has a deal pending with another MLS team, and said, “I fully expect based on the conversations that it will get done tomorrow or it won’t.”
Lagerwey said he couldn’t disclose the potential deal.

It was commercial shoot day for Real Salt Lake, and Ian Joy absolutely loved it. Walking off the field after spending nearly two hours working on the commercial ‘ which came after a two-hour training session in the morning and then lunch ‘ Joy said that director was crazy. Love Communications based out of Salt Lake City was hired to shoot the commercial, and Joy said they had the players doing all sorts of 1v1 drills. “It was awesome,” he said.
Joy said his club team in Germany did similar commercial shoots, but nothing ever as intense.
The theme of this year’s commercials is “Committed to the Core.”
